My name is Jeremy Sims. I am a husband, father, teacher, pastor, musician, San Francisco Giants nut, and Shrimp and Grits aficionado. My wife Tiffanni and I have been married for over 17 years and have three beautiful children named Addyson, Carsyn, and Brayden. They have a Golden Retriever named Fortinbras, named after a Golden Retriever from our favorite family book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle.
In 2011, my wife Tiffanni was diagnosed with an ugly neurodegenerative disorder called Huntington’s Disease. Over the last several years this disease has radically changed our lives as a family. This blog is my way of working through some of the challenges, as well as letting some of you into our lives. As an aspiring writer, for now, this is my outlet. I hope that you see the hope and beauty as well as the pain and loss and that it encourages you to love deeper and grieve better. From my family to yours- this is as easy as hard gets.
